Caleb Campbell Finds Podium for Third Time with Third Place Finish at Mid-Ohio Speed Tour
Race 1 Recap:
Caleb Campbell fought hard throughout race 1. Battling in a tight opening race, getting into podium position proved challenging. Cooper Shipman, Alex Popow, and Kekai Hauanio all in a tight-race for position, fought hard for podium positions, switching places multiple times. Unfortunately, Campbell was unable to overcome the challenge and break into a podium position, and ultimately finished 4th in race 1.
Race 2 Recap:
After finishing in fourth place after race 1, Campbell looked to have a better start to race 2. From the first wave of the green flag, Caleb immediately made the best jump and advanced to 2nd place. The race was tight between Shipman, Hauanio and Campbell, all battling for top three positions. Campbell held 2nd place for the majority of the race before a final push from Shipman in the final 10 minutes of the race. Campbell and Shipman continued to battle side-by-side for position throughout the final few laps, swapping positions multiple times. Unfortunately, due to dropping a wheel-off track in the closing minutes, Campbell allowed fellow racer Alex Popow to pass, and ultimately finished 3rd, resulting in a podium finish, and his 3rd podium finish of the 2025 season.
Post-Race Recognition:
After the race, due to his aggressive yet clean performance on the circuit, Campbell was awarded the Omologato Perfectly-Timed Move of the Race. Additionally, Cambell’s efforts during the race were acknowledged by fellow racer Shipman, who praised him for pushing the battle to the limit: “I knew starting off the pole this time that I was going to work for a little bit harder, and both Caleb [Campbell] and Alex [Popow] pushed me to the end. They did a great job.”
